Two options for groups staying at ​Lancaster County Convention Center

​If you haven't done so yet, please browse our site to learn about our walking tours for groups. 
Option 1:
​Coordinator arranges tour on behalf of group 
  • ​Take advantage of group discounts (as low as $19 for 250 participants; see below)
  • Include tour as seamless part of convention 
  • Have more control over the process
 
Now:
  • Browse this site and decide if a Taste Lancaster walking tour experience is a good fit for your group. Some groups give participants the option during convention registration to select a tour as an On Your Own meal (and add a charge to the registration). Some groups include a tour as one or more of the group's convention meal package (and include the cost into the registration pricing).
  • Decide on meal date(s) and time(s).  
  • Fill out the inquiry form below.
  
After we have confirmed the availability of the requested date(s) and time(s):
  • Use the provided photos and descriptions (coming soon) in your convention registration materials to give prospective attendees a preview of what to expect.
  • If members are signing up with you for this experience, include the appropriate sign up questions in your convention registration form, and include payment instructions.
  • Get an approximate head count of committed participants. The minimum group size is 50.
  • Send 25% deposit to reserve your date(s) and time(s). (We will send you specific  payment instructions.)
  • As you plan your convention information and instructions, designate a place in the Convention Center (such as your registration area or one of the meeting rooms) where attendees can go if they have questions for one of our staff members before and during the first 30 minutes of the tour. 

Four weeks before the convention:
  • Submit final head count and balance of payment to us.
  • We will mail you Taste Lancaster coupon booklets for the exact number of participants, for you to include in your registration packets or to hand out at your convention.
 
At the convention:
  • One of our staff members will be available to answer questions before and during the first 30 minutes of the tour (at a spot designated by you). Additionally, if your group will be starting the tour immediately after a session in which all participants are gathered, one of our staff members can be available to make a public announcement explaining the tour. 
  • During the designated time frame, participants use the Taste the World coupon booklets on their self-guided tour of the participating restaurants.

After the convention:
  • We will follow up with a simple survey to get your feedback about what worked well and any suggestions you have. We desire to make this experience the best that it can be for future groups!

TICKET PRICES
  • 50 to 74: $29 each
  • 75 to 99: $27 each
  • 100 to 149: $25 each
  • 150 to 199: $23 each
  • 200 to 249: $21 each
  • 250: $19 each
Option 2:
Coordinator promotes the tour, but attendees book their own tickets
  • Less work and details for you
  • All tickets are $29*
  • May be cancelled if not enough attendees sign up

Now:
  • Browse this site and decide if a Taste Lancaster walking tour experience is a good fit for your group. 
  • Decide on meal date(s) and time(s). Unless you have a very large group (thousands of attendees) and anticipate them booking multiple times, select one date and time. 
  • Fill out the inquiry form below.
  
After we have confirmed the availability of the requested date(s) and time(s):
  • Use the provided photos and descriptions (coming soon) in your convention registration materials to give prospective attendees a preview of what to expect.
  • Share the unique web URL for your group's tour. 
  • Attendees will purchase their tickets directly from our site, by four weeks before the event.
  • As you plan your convention information and instructions, designate a place in the Convention Center (such as your registration area or one of the meeting rooms) where attendees can go if they have questions for one of our staff members before and during the first 30 minutes of the tour.

Four weeks before the convention:
  • We will mail you Taste Lancaster coupon booklets for the participants who have purchased them, along with a list of names, for you to include in your registration packets or to hand out at your convention.
  • If at least 50 attendees have not booked, we will cancel the tour and issue refunds for those who purchased tickets. We will charge a cancellation processing fee of $50. 
 
At the convention:
  • One of our staff members will be available to answer questions before and during the first 30 minutes of the tour (at a spot designated by you). Additionally, if your group will be starting the tour immediately after a session in which all participants are gathered, one of our staff members can be available to make a public announcement explaining the tour. 
  • During the designated time frame, participants use the Taste Lancaster coupon booklets on their self-guided tour of the participating restaurants.

TICKET PRICES
  • 50 to 250: $29 each

* We can offer the same discounts as Option 1, if you commit to a higher number of attendees, and pay the difference if less than the committed number of attendees book. For example, if you want to offer the $19 per ticket price and only 50 attendees book with us, you would owe us for the additional 200 tickets. Confused? Contact us!
